Football Boots > Nike CTR360 Maestri Football Boots - Challenge Red/Black

The CTR360 Maestri football boots are the exciting new release from Nike. And as we've had our hands on a pair for a little while, the SoccerBible can exclusively reveal the full images, explain the inspiration behind the design, and tell you what you can expect the CTR360 boots to deliver...

The new Nike CTR360 Maestri - the name is Italian for master - has pinnacle performance features designed to deliver 360° control of the ball, and to give the wearer 100% pass completion. To achieve this the creators of the Nike CTR360 Maestri went through the stages of a player - winning the ball, keeping control and distributing the ball.

To receive the ball Nike have created dampening pods on the outside of the forefoot area, which provide an excellent first touch by cushioning the ball. This zone is further enhanced by the asymmetrical lacing system expanding the ball control area.

Asymmetrical lacing system enlarges control area

With the first touch improved, Nike set about enhancing the players ball control. To do this they created a revolutionary new synthetic leather called KANGA-LITE, a water-resistant material that mimics the supreme ball feel and touch of kangaroo leather whilst maintaining its performance in all conditions.

New synthetic leather KANGA-LITE stands out in black

The 360° ball control has even been considered on the soles of the boots. With unique dual-density fore-foot studs able to grip the ball better without compromising traction, stability or durability. And on the heel, the studs are sharper and stronger to lock down the planted foot when the other is controlling the ball.

With the ball controlled, and the player pivoted and looking to distribute, how can the Nike CTR360 Maestri football boots deliver the ball to a team-mates feet? Well, the CTR's feature a rubberised pass pad on the instep of the boots to provide more accuracy when passing the ball. This combines with 'shape-correcting memory foam' giving a larger and more uniform boot-to-ball contact area, for greater precision and delivery of the ball at optimal pace.

To summerise, the new Nike CTR360 Maestri football boots are a true performance boot, Nike have gone back to the drawing board and consulted with professional players to find out what they need a boot to deliver. What they have come up with is a football boot equipped with very unique features, designed to dominate the football pitch. A player wearing the Nike CTR360 Maestri football boots is primed to win the ball, keep control and distribute it to dominate play!

The first release of the Nike CTR360 Maestri football boots is the Black/Red/White colourway which evokes memories of the classic AC Milan team mentality, where the entire team works to win the ball, keep hold and then dictate play. Definitely a suitable colourway for the first CTR360 football boot, which is available for pre-order now and are expected to hit the shelves from 3rd October for around £120 GBP.

Hello, I just picked up a pair of the CTR360 Trequartista. Great feeling boots!! Very soft leather, slightly padded area's on the forefoot. Rubber grip material in the inside of the boot. Just picked them up at the Nike Employee store in Beaverton, Oregon. They are well priced(retail $90.00 US) Can't wait to try them out!!!!

Been waiting for these for a while. To be fair there were images of these boots online ages ago so was already excited. I am a defensive midfielder so perfect boots for me! I currently play in either Lasers II or the new Tiempo but getting these anyway lol! Who do you think will be wearing these then? Scholes, Faberagas, Iniesta, Jon Obi Mikel im thinking.

They wreak of cheap looking boots. The colourway is terrible too. A plain white would be much better than this mix. Ive heard there is white and gold colourway. Which would look much better.

Whos wearing it? I reckon Gattuso, Scholes, Song (Arsenal) and Diarra with the white version

i have seen and felt these in person and am not impressed. the "kanga-lite" leather may very well be lighter and more water resistant than k-leather but it wasn't soft and felt rather cheap. Nike are just trying to buy over consumers with a big load of technological jargon ***. ugly colourway and overall, NOT IMPRESSED NIKE. i'm sticking to regular leather boots

I've tried them on and they're alright. But nothing more, they feel kinda good on your feet but they have absolutely nothing new to participate with. If the "average joe" was a football boot it would be the Maestri.

YOU have no idea what your talking about. adri the king. these shoes are great. good for players who are serious about there game.

I think this boot is good for people who take pride in  their touch. many former Nike legend wearers have switched over to the maestri, most notably fabregas. he was a legend icon for quite a while, so it would have to take a very TOP quality boot to bring him over. Nike have done well with these.

Great boots, even if you aren't a fan of the colourway.  I don't like white on my boots for the most this was my only option at the time with the releases they have.  I have the F50i's(leather and sprintskin), predator X UCL's, and these...and I think I enjoy playing in these the most.  They are the lightest of the 3, and have the most control elements in my opinion.  The Predator X's striking zone can cause shots to curve off when you really don't want them to.  These boots stay very clean and I I couldn't be happier.
