Football Boots > Heritage Football Boots - Umbro Speciali England 28/03/09

To coincide with the release of the new England Home Kit, Umbro have joined in the limited edition collectors boot game with the release of the Umbro Speciali England, worn for the first time by England Captain John Terry against Slovakia today.

With a long tradition of producing quality heritage football boots, this collectors edition Speciali fits the bill for players who want a pure, stylish and elegant boot. Bucking the trend for outrageous colours, this boot is styled with the same ethos as the new kit, learning from tradition and adding modern technology. The Speciali England features two distinctive and unique options from a standard Speciali - the clean all-white colour upper and Three Lions graphic sole plate.

A superb pro standard boot, the Speciali England uses premium K-Leather to create a smooth, soft and supple upper. Using the philosophy of less is more, even the brand double diamond logo sits subtly on the side of the boot in all white. This boot also features a redesigned fold over tongue which partly covers a traditional centered lacing area - perfect for getting the most out of passes and strikes. We can report the Speciali England offers a snug, tight fit, which enhances your feel of ball on boot.

Offered in either a 6 stud soft ground or mixed PU hard ground sole plate, both versions boast an overlayed England Three Lions crest. Quite how long this will stay clean once you step out onto pitch remains to be seen - one things for sure the opposition will certainly know where your allegiances lie!

A limited edition boot cannot be supplied without an elaborarte collectors box, and the Speciali England is no exception. At almost twice the height of a standard boot box, the lid lifts up to reveal the launch date (28.03.09) and the individual number of your pair. We were lucky enough to get our hands on pair number 1 out of the 283 produced, thanks to our good friends at Pro Direct Soccer!

The boots are set in a fine silk compartment, inviting you to get them out and start playing! We resisted the temptation on this occasion, as we were distracted by the secret compartment at the base of the box - revealling a triple set of boot goodies!

Here you'll find leather food, a brush and shoe horn presented once more with the official pair number and England crest. If you're feeling keen to play in these beautiful boots, then these extras will certainly help prolong the life of them!

The Umbro Speciali England football boots are available to pre-order now and are expected to be launched on 1st April, along with the new England kit. The boots should retail at £150 GBP and there will only be 283 pairs available, shared over both sole plates.

So no matter what the result in today's game by snapping up these boots you can be sure of a piece of history!
