Check out our exclusive images of Lionel Messi's new gold adidas F50 adiZero football boots, along with pictures of Messi training in his new boots! The World’s best player will take on the World Champions when Argentina face Spain in a fantastic showpiece match. To celebrate the event, Messi will be wearing his new, golden F50 adizeros.
The adidas F50 adiZero football boots have taken the game by storm, with players flocking to wear the lightweight adidas speed boot. However, we're wandering whether this is what's made Messi change his boots, as a host of players are wearing his original chameleon colourway! That said, the Argentina versus Spain game is quite a showcase event to fully debut the new gold football boots, because Messi will not only be facing the World Champions but also most of his Barcelona team-mates.
It also hasn't escaped our keen boot spotting eyes, that Lionel Messi has been sporting the leather versions of the F50 adiZero soccer shoes. A popular choice amongst the pro's, the lightweight leather speed boot has been quite a revelation in the boots market.
Lionel Messi is not only worthy of a gold boot, but was also one of the key players who helped in the design and development of the boots, as
SoccerBible exclusively found out from our interview with the adidas F50
adiZero designer. Messi had previously worn F30 football boots, due to their
fixed sole-plate which the most recent incarnations of the F50 range now features.
The gold adidas F50 adiZero football boots are available to pre-order now ahead of being released on the 14th September. Although it is unlikely adidas will be releasing leather versions, as currently they're only available in synthetic uppers, making Lionel Messi's football boots even more bespoke to him. We'll be eagerly watching the pitch in Buenos Aires on Tuesday night, to see if Messi steps out onto the pitch wearing his new boots when Argentina take on Spain.
