Welcome to Boot Spy's Most Wanted - the place on the SoccerBible where we expose the football boots YOU are looking forward to the most!
It's already shaping up to be a great 2010 for football boot fans, with a World Cup on the horizon and plenty of new soccer shoes confirmed. So without further interruption, here are the SoccerBible's current Most Wanted football boots...
**UPDATED 05/03/10**
adidas F50 adiZero > (non mover)
ETA: May 2010 | Category: Speed Boot
What is it? The F50 series returning to how we
want an F50 to be - meaning you'll find no TUNiT customisation but a
light-weight speed boot. More pictures and
samples (fake or otherwise) are flooding the internet and the reaction
so far has been highly positive for adidas' big launch of 2010.
Why we want them: The adiZero is the one everybody is talking about! Therefore it is no surprise to see the next installment in the F50
series sitting at number 1 in our Most Wanted. We've had two official colourways at SoccerBible HQ which are being put through their paces - and so far, they certainly have not disappointed...

Nike Elite Collection (climbing)
ETA: July 2010 | Category: Speed / Power / Control / Heritage
What is it? Nike started the carbon fibre trend with the original Mercurial SL - now the rest of their silos get the treatement with a whole set of Elite level boots, designed with only the top pro's in mind. Nike favourites Landon Donovan and Andreas Pirlo are currently two of the superstars spied play testing the new boots.
Why We Want Them: We've already seen what Nike can do with some carbon-fibre in the Superfly. But "Elite" versions of Laser, Tiempo, CTR360
to join the Superfly? Yes please! The weight loss certainly hasn't affected the
performance of the boots, judging by the reaction from our play test pairs...

adidas World Cup Collection (New Entry)
ETA: July 2010 | Category: Speed / Power / Heritage
What is it? adidas get one up on rivals Nike with the rumour about their World Cup pack - featuring a Predator, adiPure and new F50 all coloured up for some distinctive on-pitch spotting.
Why we want them: The Black/Yellow combination is a real winner - classy, stylish and cool - and could be just what the fans have been asking for...

Mizuno Wave Ignitus (non mover)
ETA: May 2010 | Category: Power / Accuracy Boot
What is it? The Wave Ignitus, already available in the Far East, is a new
concept for the Japanese brand and already looks to be a serious
alternative to those bored of swooshes and three stripes. The boot promises unrivalled accuracy and has a host of new tech for us to delve into.
Why we want them: We've big fans of Mizuno boots at the
SoccerBible, as the Japanese heritage and tech are packaged really
well .Eagle eyed
boot spotters will have seen Mizuno ambassador Roque Santa Cruz already
trialling the boots, which we reckon will have a huge impact around
World Cup time.

Puma v1.10 Tricks & PowerCat Tricks (new entry)
ETA: May 2010 | Category: Speed, Power / Accuracy Boots
What is it? Fresh into SoccerBible HQ this week, a pair each of the upcoming Tricks editions. Cosmetically enhanced, Puma are stepping up their game for World Cup time.
Why we want them: Not new boots as such, but exciting enough to be included in the Most Wanted thanks to their excellent combination with the Africa Unity Kit. When you see a player from head to toe, you'll get what we mean!

Puma v1.10 SuperLight (non mover)
ETA: August 2010 | Category: Speed Boot
What is it? Rumour has it that Puma have called in the assistance of one of
their most famous and iconic sporting ambassadors to help with the
development of this new boot, based on the v1.10 series.
Why we want them: How much lighter can a boot get? We're big fans of everything speed here at the SoccerBible, and if the rumours are true this could be the first boot to hold a World Record...
